Description:
The Ozone 3K and Ozone 5K are super slim, very light, and compatible with
both iPhones and Android devices.
FULL STORY ======================================================================The Ozone 3K and Ozone 5K are billed as the worlds thinnest magnetic power banks At just 4.98mm thick, the Ozone 3K is even thinner than the iPhone Air Currently these power banks are on Kickstarter
While most MagSafe battery packs will work with the iPhone Air , due to its differing design to other iPhones, they wont necessarily fit perfectly other than the few that are designed specifically for Apples super slim smartphone. But even those designed for it can be a bit chunky, which isnt ideal when the whole point of this phone is to be thin. However, a new battery pack
addresses that.
Dubbed the Ozone 3K, this is just 4.98mm thick, which according to Kopplen (the company behind it) makes it the worlds thinnest magnetic power bank. While thats not easy to verify, its certainly slimmer than the roughly 7.7mm thick official iPhone Air MagSafe Battery, or the similarly thick Anker Nano Power Bank. And its also thinner than the 5.6mm iPhone Air itself.
Of course, being so slim the Ozone 3K doesnt have a huge capacity, with its 3,000mAh of power delivering a 62% charge to the iPhone Air, though there is also an Ozone 5K, which can give it a full charge, but comes in at a thicker 6.49mm. (Image credit: Kopplen Inc) Not just for the iPhone Air
And while were focused on the iPhone Air here, both Ozone models are also compatible with other iPhones, as well as Qi2 Android devices. In fact, if youre using these with an Android phone youll get up to 15W of charging
power, while on iPhones youre limited to 7.5W.
Both battery packs are also lightweight, with the Ozone 3K coming in at 77g and the 5K at 97g, and right now theyre not overly expensive, with early bird Kickstarter pricing of just $44.99 (around 35 / AU$65), down from a standard price of $69.99 (roughly 50 / AU$105).
That pricing oddly applies to both models, so you dont have to pay more to
get a higher capacity. Though of course since these are currently on Kickstarter theres no guarantee theyll ever ship, so you might want to wait for retail, even though that will cost a little more.
