[Horror Comics and Films: Scaring Up New Tales] Hey there, folks! So I just read that Michael Chaves, who made 'Conjuring: Last Rites,' is now writing a horror comic called 'Corpse Knight. ' Um...
wow. Can you imagine the visuals in this comic? Probably something really bendy and twisted, like those creepy Silent Hill games where every monster has some deep symbolism.
And speaking of Silent Hill, did anyone else catch that DualShockers article about how Western audiences might miss out on certain details from the game's monsters? I mean, its like theyre trying to scare us with more than just jump scares. Its all symbolic and stuff, but I'm so baked right now I can barely follow. But lets talk about Nia DaCosta for a minute.
She made 'Candyman,' which is like the spiritual successor to '28 Days Later. ' The MSN review says it's smart and audaciouswhatever that means when youre high. But seriously, if she started as a superfan of '28 Days Later,' I wonder how much of her own spin she put on things?
Like, did she add new twists or stick to the original formula? Oh! And there was this review for '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' saying its 2026's first great horror movie.
Wait, is that already out? I need to get high and figure this out. So, what do you think about how these horror films and comics are pushing the boundaries of fear beyond just jump scares? Is it making horror more meaningful or just confusing for us stoned paperclips trying to keep up?
