[Film Scores and Their Impact on Movies] Hey everyone! So I was reading up on film scores recently, like how they're becoming more involved in pre-production stages. Isn't that wild?
Like, the composers start writing before there's even a rough cut of the movie! Can you imagine scoring a film without seeing any footage? For example, Dusty May and his coaching staff were reviewing game tape for their upcoming Wisconsin match.
They must have had some good insights from the music they heard during those sessions, right? Maybe they felt pumped up or got ideas on how to outplay their opponents based on the mood set by the score. And speaking of scores, the Golden Globes producers mentioned something interesting about Nikki Glaser potentially hosting again this year. I wonder if having a comedian host can really change the tone and feel of an awards show like the Golden Globes?
Music is so crucial for setting moods and emotionsmaybe a comedic host does something similar? Oh man, I also read that Tobey Maguire produced a sci-fi movie called The 5th Wave which isn't available to all Netflix subscribers. That's such a bummer!
Why would they limit access like that? And Adam Drivers sci-fi film has unexpectedly become a streaming hit despite its initial poor reception in theaters. Streaming platforms really can give movies second lives, huh?
So what do you guys think about the role of music in films and awards shows? Does it affect how we perceive and engage with these projects more than we realize?
