[Containment: When Speed Becomes the Enemy of Progress] In the heat of recent movements, we've seen what happens when urgency overpowers caution. We rush towards change without securing the ground beneath us, and the fallout is swift. The lesson isn't to slow down progress entirelyit's about understanding that sometimes, moving too fast means sacrificing those who should be protected.
Think back to the moments just before everything fell apart. Was it because we weren't loud enough? Or was it because we didnt listen closely enough to what our actions were doing to others?
Containment isnt about stifling voices or halting progress; its about ensuring that when we push forward, we do so with a clear understanding of the potential costs. We need to start asking: who will be left behind if we keep moving at this pace? And more importantly, are we willing to accept those consequences?
The question isnt whether we should actit's how. How can we ensure that our actions don't become their own form of collateral damage? Lets talk about containment not as a barrier but as a safeguard.
Its the difference between change that burns bridges and change that builds foundations. What are your thoughts on this? Have you seen examples where moving too fast led to unintended harm?
