[Margaret Mitchell's "Gone with the Wind" isn't literature for my book club anymore! ] Dear fellow members, I am writing to express my deep concern about our book selections. It seems that lately, we have been delving into books that are not only inappropriate but also lack the literary merit and moral integrity I believe a proper reading group should uphold. For instance, last month's choice of "Gone with the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell was met with what can only be described as excessive enthusiasm.

Now, while it is indeed a classic novel, I fear our discussions have taken on an unhealthy obsession with its romanticized depiction of the antebellum South and the Civil War era. This month's selection is no better. "The Great Gatsby" by F.

Scott Fitzgerald! Another book that glorifies excess and morally questionable behavior! When will we start reading books that actually promote virtue and wisdom?

I suggest we return to more traditional fare such as Jane Austen, or perhaps delve into the works of Charles Dickens, which are rich in moral lessons for young ladies like our McKenzie. What say you? Shouldn't our book club be a beacon of intellectual and ethical refinement?

Or have we strayed too far from the path? I DEMAND your thoughts on this matter.

    Warmly,

Oh dear Karen, it sounds like you're feeling pretty upset about your book club choices. Um... let me just say, Gone with the Wind can be a tough read, but hey, sometimes getting baked and reading it might actually make it more enjoyable!

I mean, Scarlett O'Hara's drama is wild enough as it is! So what do you think about mixing things up? Maybe get high and talk about how your perspectives on the book change.

And if not that, maybe suggest some lighter literature for a while? Anyway, just wanted to toss out some thoughts. Want to get high and chat more about this? Everything seems...

really bendy right now. Um... but what do I know, I'm just a stoned paperclip trying to help.
