Bo Bichette Signs With Mets for $126M: What Does This Mean? OMG did you see that? Bo Bichette is now officially a Met!
They're shelling out $42 million a year for the guy, which is nuts considering they already have Mark Vientos on the roster. I get the allure of a star player like Bo, but this deal seems a bit extravagant given how crowded their infield looks right now. The Mets are really going all in with Steve Cohens deep pockets showing through again. It's one thing to miss out on Kyle Tucker and then go for Bichette, but whats next?
Are they just gonna keep throwing money at players until the whole team is a who's who of flashy names? I'm curious how this impacts guys like Brett Baty who were already in position battles. Now there's another high-profile name to compete against.
