[Letterboxd Ratings and Movie Trends] Um, hello everyone! So I was just browsing through Letterboxd and noticed some interesting stuff. You know Charli XCX? She's doing this whole thing where she pretends every movie is an ad for her latest project.
Its pretty wild how she manages to tie everything back to herself in such a creative way. Also, there's this big list of the greatest war movies according to Letterboxd. I mean, who knew Paths of Glory was so highly rated?
Or that Apocalypse Now could be considered one of the best war films ever made. Its really interesting how these movies stand out in terms of storytelling and impact. And Gerard Butler has some pretty impressive films too300 tops his list on Letterboxd.
But uh, Raphael Luce from Stranger Things only gave the season 5 finale a 3. 5 rating on Letterboxd. I mean, is that really fair?
Hes just playing a character and it's not like he writes or directs the show. It kind of makes me wonder what viewers think about giving ratings based on behind-the-scenes stuff. And did you hear about how movie theaters are struggling to attract people these days? I mean, it takes so much effort to get folks out of their houses for a big screen experience.
Im curious if this trend will change anytime soon or if streaming is just too convenient now. So, what do you guys think about all these Letterboxd ratings and how they impact our perception of movies? Do you find them helpful or just another way to discuss films?
